Thomas Hooker Brewing Company
Thomas Hooker Brewery, located in Bloomfield, is Connecticut’s local craft brewery with a national reputation. It gets its name from the great colonial leader of the 1600’s and founder of Hartford, Rev. Thomas Hooker. This premium brewery pays homage to its state’s history and has been crafting small batch beers with quality ingredients since 2003. Their ongoing mission is to make beer the way it’s meant to be made: hand-crafted from the finest malts, hops and essential ingredients and painstakingly true to style.
Beer Type: Blonde Ale
5.10% ABV / 11.00 IBU
Thomas Hooker’s Blonde Ale is the brewery’s most easy drinking brew! It’s brilliant golden in color with a clean, creamy smooth flavor and the perfect balance of subtle malt sweetness and delicate crispness from Czech and American hops. Refreshing flavors of lemon citrus, sweet honey and fruity pear making a dynamite combination that will be enjoyed by both the dedicated craft beer enthusiasts and those new to the craft beer scene.
Beer Type: Lager
5.70% ABV / 16.00 IBU
It’s that time of year…Octoberfest! Brewed to celebrate the beginning of the traditional German brewing season, this Amber beer is a rich and satisfying Bavarian style Lager from a special blend of imported German malts. The Octoberfest Lager is a full-bodied brew that’s gently hopped, delicately balanced and true-to-style. It’s also an award-winning beer, garnering Three First Place Medals from the NY Times Beer Panel (1), and the Great International Beer Competition (2). There’s no better way to celebrate the Autumn Season!
Tied House Brewery
The brainchild of Lou Jemison and Ronald Manabe, the Tied House Brewery was founded in 1987 in Mountain View, California as the first brewpub in Silicon Valley. Lou and Ronald had teamed up with Master Brewer Cheuck Tom whose brewing career included a thirty-year tenure at Hong Kong’s San Miguel Brewing, and six years as brewmaster for Anheuser-Busch. Each of Tied House’s original beer recipes were developed by Cheuck and have remained popular, award-winning brews ever since.
Today, Tied House Brewery is led by brewmaster and founder Ron Manabe and head brewer Peter Licht. Together, they gave made Tied House into an incredibly popular destination as a staple of the Mountain View community.
Coastal Fog Amber Ale
Beer Type: Amber Ale
4.70% ABV / 20.00 IBU
Tied House Brewery’s Coastal Fog Amber Ale is a rich, malty ale with a light, hoppy finish. You’ll notice the earthy, biscuity toffee aromas and nicely rounded flavors of roasted caramel and fresh Northwest hops. This is brewed in the classic Amber Ale style, but it has more complexity than you’d expect. There’s even a bit of spiciness in this beer that’s super appealing and takes this Amber Ale to the next level.
Coastal Fog Pale Ale
Beer Type: Pale Ale
4.70% ABV / 35.00 IBU
California is known for its coastline, fresh produce and diverse flavors. They’re also known for their Pale Ales. Coincidence? We think not. Tied House Brewery’s Coastal Fog Pale Ale has a nice dark straw color, a mild hop, flavor and a clean finish that’s as delicious on its on as it is paired with traditionally spicy or interesting cuisines (think Thai, Mexican, and even Chinese). The hop character nicely cuts the heat of the food and enhances the flavors found in these cuisines.
